Claud Bunyard's famous 1963 continuous windsor chair design for Nichols and Stone is the perfect marriage between traditional, simple, utilitarian shaker or primitive style and a more sleek and modern approach to design. His windsor chair has been featured in multiple prestigious modern art museums throughout the country and remains a classic quality piece of modern furniture design. Equally at home in a primitive decor palate, an eclectic mid-century modern style room, or a boho-chic bohemian style setting, or an organic modern space, this chair is truly versatile and will serve you well for many decades to come.
The set for sale are an early 80s production of this classic design. Although all 4 chairs were purchased together and look the same, only one bears the Nichols and Stone mark on the bottom. Chairs are in good vintage condition, with little to no wobble, and moderate to medium wear and patina commensurate with age. The wear on these chairs is a part of their charm.
